Can Disposible Mean Eco-Friendly?

Until a few months ago, I was banking at Wachovia. I really liked them but they were bought by Wells Fargo so now I bank there. It's not that big of a deal. I need to walk an additional 300 yards from my office. I still see my same tellers, I can still write checks for my business, etc. but that's not the point of this article. The last few days, I noticed that my favorite Teller was using a "Green" Biodegradable cup made from Polylactic Acid (PLA) which is Biodegradable and Compostable... it's made from Corn.  I ask and it turns out that all through (at least that branch of Wells Fargo), this is the only type of disposable cup used.  This is just one small effort to be more Green.
